This interactive workshop, developed by Transitions and Transformations: The Black Researcher’s Journey — one of the 13 Research England-funded projects focused on racial equity and access to postgraduate education — and The Diversity Trust, focuses on supporting PGs in developing and writing cover letters.
By the end of this session, users will be able to:
- Understand the importance of a cover letter in job applications
- Structure one’s own cover letter
- Understand the key elements of an effective cover letter
- Identify common mistakes to avoid when making a cover letter
- Reference examples of cover letters to agencies, companies, and individuals
