Signposting and Supporting Peers with Appropriate Boundaries

Diverse Minds

This interactive workshop, developed by Transitions and Transformations: The Black Researcher’s Journey — one of the 13 Research England-funded projects focused on racial equity and access to postgraduate education — and Diversity Minds, supports PGRs in developing, learning about, and enacting appropriate boundaries while in postgraduate education and beyond.

This session will support PGRs in understanding:

  • How to be clear about ones boundaries
  • How to be mindful of peers and spot warning signs that someone may be struggling
  • How to have a conversation about mental wellbeing with your peers
  • How to reach out to your supervisors, friends, and university support
  • Seeking out other resources for support
