Working groups receive further sponsorship

The Council is delighted to announce two further sponsors to their working groups

Working groups receive further sponsorship

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is sponsoring specific areas of research to be undertaken by the Quality and Reputation of the UK Doctorate Working Group. The QAA is the independent body entrusted with monitoring and advising on standards and quality in UK Higher Education and are dedicated to checking that the three million students working towards a UK qualification get the higher education experience they are entitled to expect.

The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is sponsoring the Postgraduate Student Experience Working Group. The Higher Education Academy (HEA) is the national body for enhancing learning and teaching in higher education (HE) and are committed to excellent learning and teaching, supporting UK HE organisations with an emphasis on improving the student experience.

With a robust evidence base to underpin all our work, they HEA:

  • help individuals realise professional learning and teaching ambitions
  • support organisations to achieve their strategic ambitions to enhance teaching and learning
  • work across the sector to shape the future of HE

The HEA bring together universities, colleges, governments and sector agencies to improve teaching and the student experience. On behalf of the sector, we manage the UK Professional Standards Framework UKPSF and a unique professional recognition programme to support the professionalisation of teaching and individuals achieve their career goals.

Dr Rob Daley, Chair of the Working Group said,

This sponsorship from the HEA is valuable recognition of the importance of the postgraduate student working group’s objectives. We are very grateful for this contribution, which will allow us to achieve some goals that would not otherwise be possible. We look forward to working with the HEA to enhance the Postgraduate Student experience across the sector.”
