Structural Changes in Doctoral Education

The Working Group for the Sustainability of Organisational Structures for Doctoral Provision has launched a new survey to capture the diversity of the doctoral provision in UK and Irish institutions.

Structural Changes in Doctoral Education

This survey will revisit and build on the findings of the UKCGE Publication Graduate Schools in the UK 2010” and map recent changes in doctoral training structures in UK and Irish universities, aspirations for further development in doctoral provision and barriers to change. It focuses in particular on the role and potential of cohort-based doctoral training programme models. The survey responses will form the basis of a new review of doctoral training provision which will address questions of structure and sustainability. The review will be published in autumn 2015.

To ensure only one response is received per institution, the survey will be sent to all institutional Link Members who will then forward to the correct person for completion. You can however preview the survey here.
