Postgraduate Student Experience Working Group Update
Postgraduate Student Experience Working Group Update
The Council’s Postgraduate Student Experience Working Group has recently released two surveys for membership participation.
After a busy start to the academic year, the Postgraduate Student Experience working group has recently launched key surveys in two of its work streams; PGT identity and expectations, and PDP and career planning for PGR students.
1. PGT Identity and expectations
UKCGE have launched a national survey exploring the responsibilities of PGT programme directors which aims to build on a successful pilot study carried out by the working group earlier in the year.
The findings from this survey will be presented at the working group’s seminar ‘Supporting the Future of PGT Education: Supporting the Journey to Independent Learning in PGT’ on 8th June at UKCGE offices in Lichfield.

Four working group members are working on a project concerned with PDP and career planning and are surveying a number of Institutions to learn what it is they offer in this respect. The information gathered will be presented in a special poster session devoted to the activity of the working groups at the Annual UKCGE Conference in Livepool in July 2016.
