Job Opportunity with the John Innes Centre

The Norwich Research Park (NRP), an international centre of excellence for bioscience, has recently been awarded a Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) worth nearly £16M by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council. The Norwich Bioscience Institutes (NBI), part of the NRP, are seeking to recruit an ambitious academic who will act both as the Director of the DTP and as the Chair of the Graduate School Executive for NBI. This is a unique opportunity for an individual wishing to play a pivotal role in the development of future bioscientists, by progressing world-class doctoral training for the vibrant postgraduate research community at the NBI.

The enthusiastic individual we seek will have supervised postgraduate students within their own research programmes and will be able to operate alongside senior academics at the UEA and the NRP, as well as the Postgraduate Research Directors of NBI.

The NBI are the John Innes Centre, the Institute of Food Research, The Genome Analysis Centre and The Sainsbury Laboratory. The successful candidate will be based at the John Innes Centre and their salary on appointment will be within the range £57,780 to £64,200 per annum depending on qualifications, skills and experience. The post is available on a job-share basis.
