“The Thinking Environment” Webinar
Led by colleagues from the Universities of Newcastle and Durham, and in association with the UKCGE Research Supervisors Network, this webinar will explore how Nancy Kline’s “Thinking Environment” approach can be applied to doctoral supervision.
Kline observed that the quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking that we do first, and that the quality of our thinking depends on the way we treat each other while we are thinking. In this webinar, we will consider the ten components of a “thinking environment” and explore the options for incorporating such an approach into your supervision work with doctoral researchers.
