The Student Experience of the Viva
This online discussion session will examine the experiences of doctoral candidates during the viva. The session will open with a summary of the findings of the article Addressing the shortcomings of the closed-door viva for PhD and doctoral candidates in the UK: a voice for academic examiners, this will be followed by a broadly based discussion on developing consistency in the viva experience.
