This online discussion will focus on Supporting Critical Thinking in PGT Provision.
Led by Sophie Rutschmann — Academic Lead for Digital Education at Imperial College, London — the session will include a case-study of Imperial’s module on Critical Thinking for PGT students on STEM programmes. This will be followed by a broader discussion on the variety of provision of Critical Thinking (CT) teaching as part of postgraduate taught degrees in HEIs across the UK.
Attendees will have the opportunity to both share with, and learn from, colleagues about the state of CT teaching in their institutions — including what skills should be taught and how the development of CT skills can be measured in their students.
