UKCGE to launch International Collaborative Research Writing Groups
UKCGE to launch International Collaborative Research Writing Groups
UKCGE is in the early stages of developing a small number of international research writing groups that will run from November 2015. Each group will work together on an agreed topic to write and submit an academic journal article within one year.
Each group will be chaired by a facilitator familiar with the chosen topic. The majority of work will take place remotely using skype and email, however the Council is also investigating the possibility of writing workshops to take place in Liverpool around the time of the 2016 Annual Conference.
UKCGE invites colleagues from across the postgraduate community who would like to become directly involved with the writing groups to submit a declaration of interest to Kate Payne (UKCGE Staff). Interested parties should identify themes of interest, a brief rationale of aspirations for engaging with the working group and their contact details.
Topics could include:
- Doctoral Supervision
- Cohort-based programmes and the community of practice model
- Widening participation at PGR
- Professional doctorates and business engagement
- Doctoral education in the digital age
