UKCGE Annual Conference to feature special Symposium for Deans and Directors of Graduate Schools

The symposium will focus on two particular themes: firstly about structures for sustainability in doctoral education and secondly on how to provide research culture and other general support for part-time (including distance learning) research students, in order to nurture and sustain this important aspect of our provision.

The symposium is a follow-up to the successful inaugural residential workshop for Deans and Directors of Graduate Schools which was held in Bristol in January.

Submissions to this symposium are currently being accepted (closing date 29th March) and can be made by visiting the conference website or by going to http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/UKCGE-AC15Call

Angus Burns UKCGE Events Officer said:

The General call for papers to the conference closed at the beginning of March and we have been very pleased with the variety and spread of the papers received. The Conference programme already looks as if it will be very strong and interesting to colleagues from across the PG sector. The Deans and Directors symposium is an exciting addition to the programme and we hope that as many colleagues as possible will be able to contribute to and attend the event.”
