UK Research Supervision Survey Launched
Today we’ve launched the UK Research Supervision Survey (UKRSS) and we’d love to know your thoughts — the highs and lows of the supervisory experience, and what leads to good supervision.
We’re running the survey in partnership with The Next Generation Research SuperVision Project (RSVP): a £4.6million, Research England-funded project designed to transform the culture and practice of research supervision.
Dr Karen Clegg, Co-Principal Investigator for RSVP, said: “The 2021 UK Research Supervision Survey data told us that supervisors take great pride and joy in supporting the next generation of researchers and that it enhances their own research. We also learnt that there were relatively few opportunities to reflect on practice and that recognition for supervision practice was limited. Three years later, we want to know if that has changed. We encourage all supervisors, whether relatively new or more experienced, to complete the UKRSS24 and help us to better understand how as a sector we can enhance your role and supervision practice.”
Your participation will help to form a national picture of the experiences, values and views of research supervisors and help to shape the UKCGE’s future support for research supervision. To have your say, simply click the link below to complete the survey online. To say thanks, we’d like to enter you into a prize draw to win £250.
The survey closes at 9am on Monday July 15th 2024 and takes 15–20 minutes to complete.
