The Covid-19 pandemic has had an immediate and profound effect on the ways we work and on our provision. This is as true for the UK Council for Graduate Education as it is for the postgraduate education community as a whole.
In response to this, to continue to help you maintain your networks, and share emerging good-practices across the sector, the Council is currently offering a number of free-of-charge online events.
Free Good Practice Guides
Conducting Vivas Online: A Guide for Institutions and Candidates
Created to share effective-practices in online vivas as, in the light of Covid-19, we rapidly adapt to making them available to larger numbers of candidates who by necessity cannot attend a face to face assessment with examiners.
The document’s two main section contains good-practice guidance for institutions and for doctoral candidates.
