Mental Health and Wellbeing Workshop places limited

UKCGE’s forthcoming workshop on Supporting the Mental Health and Wellbeing of Postgraduate Students is set to be one of the most well attended workshops in 2015.

Taking place at the University of Leicester on Tuesday 8th December, the workshop will discuss strategies for embedding positive support mechanisms so that postgraduates are better supported and better able to support themselves. The event will also consider strategies for developing a positive attitude to mental health in students as a whole. The workshop is aimed at those who have a role in developing institutional strategies to support postgraduate students with mental health issues and it will discuss the roles of support structures within the University along with the roles of colleagues, from postgraduate tutors to senior staff dealing with students who find themselves in difficulty.

Workshop organiser and Dean of the Graduate School at the University of Leicester, Professor Sarah Hainsworth said,

The level of interest in this workshop just shows how important this particular issue is at this moment in time. I am delighted to be able to facilitate this meeting at Leicester and look forward to sharing best practice in this area with everyone on the day”

As places are limited, UKCGE members and supporters who are interested in attending the workshop are encouraged to book on as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
